They say the spirit moves in mysterious ways in New Orleans, and I’m inclined to believe it. I’m Sophia Rose, born and raised in the Big Easy. My fascination with the spiritual realm goes back to childhood days spent with my Grandma, a self-proclaimed psychic. She would brew her special tea leaves, pull out her tarot cards, and tell me the mystical signs she saw around me.
Though I was skeptical at first, over the years I’ve come to appreciate the unique spiritual energy of this city. As a teenager, I would sneak off to Jackson Square to have my cards read by the colorful psychics and palm readers gathered there. They soon recognized me as a fellow mystic-in-training!
